New Arrival

In the mail today, i got my 2nd MG Strike Rouge. I have one already built but I didnt paint it so I will paint that one as well. I am also planning on painting my already built Freedom and Strike. Since I wasnt sanding at the time, I screwed some parts when taking them of the tree son I am awaiting replacement parts for those.

New Arrival

Straight from Japan, I got in the mail today replacement parts for the MG F91, MG Freedom, MG Aile Strike, and MG RX-78-2 Ver 1.5. I got a replacement for the stand that came with the F91. The reason why i got it is because the creative minds at Bandai decided not to include a stand with the MG Crossbone Gundam. The funny thing is that F91 stand is compatible with the Crossbone Gundam. Why just not charge a couple more of dollars and include a darn stand!!!! Figure that one out, for the MG Strike, Freedom, and RX-78-2 all i got were decal sets. I am going to be painting those Gundams. I am going to have to take all the decals off when i paint, so i was going to need new ones. Ordering parts from Bandai is a breeze and it usually takes about two weeks for them to get your parts ready. Pricing is not that bad either, smaller parts are priced at 50 yen while bigger parts cost more. The base of the F91 stand was 200 yen and decal sets were 100 yen. Be careful though all these little parts can add up if you order too many you might as well buy another kit.

New Arrival

I went to the hobby shop today to get some sandpaper and some more Mr. Surfacer 1200 and saw this model on the shelf. Since i screwed up first Impulse it was only fair that I got a replacement. I don't know what I'll do with the messed up one, but I will build this one as soon as possible and I am not screwing this one up.

A little late but better now than never I finally got the Master Grade RX-78-2 Ver Ka. I like the Katoki designs alot, I dont know why he doesnt redesign alot of the kits that are out there now. How cool would a Zeta Ver Ka or even better an Aile Strike Ver Ka!! Oh well hopefully more will come out soon. The design changes to the RX-78-2 were not as drastic as they were with the Wing Ver Ka. The main change that i notice is that its missing the ESFS cross on the shield, asides from that it looks normal but still cool as the first Gundam ever. The arrival of the RX-78-2 marks the completion of my "Ver Ka" model kit collection.

New Arrival

After three weeks of waiting I finally received my fourth RAH DX figure, Meer Campbell. This is the last one that I am getting because I do not like any of the other ones. This is a nice figure and her outfit is what made me get this figure as I'm not a big fan of Meer. I have both versions of Lunamaria and the Destiny Lacus.

Master Grade Strike Freedom

OMG!!!! This is it!!! Official pics of the 1/100 MG Strike Freedom that is coming out in December. This kit is beautiful compared to the crappy 1/100 kit. I love my 1/100 SF kit but this MG just kicks the crap out of it. I mean jut look at the details on the wings and on the gold joints. I am still trying to figure out what the special option parts will be. CANT WAIT!!!!!

New Arrival

From HLJ i received my 6th Revoltech figure. Its the EVA-00 (Blue) Kai from Neon Genesis Evangelion. I have gotten all of the Evangelion Revoltech's and the only one that they have released from Devil May Cry. The figures are nice and they are about the size of a 1/144 Gundam. Next one that I am getting is the unheard of EVA-04 that was never seen in the anime or manga. Its a silver EVA unit. Here the pics of my current Revoltech figures.

Strike Noir

Stayed home today and decided to work on the Strike Noir. I got the left arm head and upper half done.

PS3 Mania has Begun

I know these are really late news but the frenzy for the PS3 has begun. Pre-orders were taken by EB Games and Gamestop last week. I managed to pre-order one. I never had expected this, lines just to pre-order!!!! I just happened to drive by a Gamestop that was about 30 minustes from my house on my way to work when I saw people standing in line. I decided that if I wanted one I was going to have to stand in line too. I was number 8 and they had 16 units available for pre-order. The game that I am the most excited about??? You guessed it Mobile Suit Gundam Crossfire. I paid off the PS3 today, but I am still going to stand in line at Best Buy and buy a couple more units to sell on EBAY just so that i can recoup the costs of my PS3.

New Project

So i tried rebuilding my Focre Impulse but I have screwed it up royally. I experimented with putty to get rid of the seams but it did not work at all for me. So i am scraping the Force Impulse project and starting a new kit. I am going to build the HG 1/144 GAT-X105E Strike Noir from C.E. 73 Stargazer. I am going all out on this one.,I am getting rid of the seams by using a different method. Im using Mr. Cement Deluxe on the seams and then sanding, it turns out pretty good. I am also priming so that the paint sticks better. I will start painting tommorow. Here is the progress so far.

New Arrival

Every self respecting Gundam modeler that i have seen has one of these built. So I decided that it was about time that I got one. Its the 1/100 Master Grade RX-178 Gundam Mark II Titans Ver 2.0, I really like the color scheme for this Gundam way better than the AEUG model. I'll see when i get around to building this one. On a side note I discovered something last night. I have 38 brand new kits!!! Seems that I wont be running out of Gundams to build for a while.

Seeing Triple???

Due to reasons beyond my control I ended up with three (3) Strike Noir models. Originally I only wanted two (2). One to build and the other to keep sealed. So I ordered the second one and when i get in the mail, it looked like it had been used as a doormat!!! Who knows how many people had stepped on it, but the packaging was completely crushed, and parts had come of the trees. So I filed a claim with UPS (United Parcel Services) letting them know how disgusted i was with the handling of my package. Today in the mail i got the replacement free of charge and even better I get to keep the one with the damaged packaging. I dont even know what to do with the third one. Maybe i will make a mod or something, or give it to Fichtenmayer so he can make one cool looking Gundam out of it.

New Arrival

Today we have the MG Crossbone Gundam. Actually i got this at the beginning of this week but i had not had time to post. I have never read the manga but a pirate looking Gundam looks really cool. The only bummer is that it does not come with a stand, i mean how do you not include a stand with this Gundam. The way around that shortcoming is that the MG F91 stand is compatible with the Crossbone Gundam.

New Arrival

Today I received the much anticipated (at least by me) Gundam Battle Royale for the PSP straight from Japan. This is the sequel to Gundam Battle Tactics. It features mobile suits from 0079 all the way to 0087 which is Zeta. The visuals are a step up from Gundam Battle Tactics, the AI has been improved, and the controls are almost the same. The game I would say is 80% in English so playing it won't be that much of a problem. Since i pre-ordered this game early enough I got a Japanese pre-order bonus!! The downside is that I don't know what it is but what makes it worth it its that its labeled as "Char's Custom". If you are a fan of the Universal Century timeline then this game is for you.

Today I began painting the Force Impulse. I am experimenting with putty on this one. Im am getting rid of some seams not all, I should be done with the chest and arms today, if not tomorrow.

News

Well, for all of you who hate the current Strike Freedom model, Bandai announced today that the will be releasing the Master Grade Strike Freedom in December for 4800JPY. There will also a limited edition "special option" for 7000JPY. As of writing details are scarce and who knows what this "special option" package will include. But all we care about is that its coming and the coolest Gundam from Seed Destiny is finally getting the Master Grade treatment.

New Project

So its confirmed. The next model that I will build is one that has already been built. Its the 1/100 Force Impulse. I built this one August of this year and I think I did a crappy job of putting it together so I am going to take it apart, paint it and fix some seams. I will post pics once i get started.

New Arrival

Today i received the uber rare Gundam Side Story 0079 Rise from the Ashes Premium Disc (Long tittle aint it) for the Dreamcast. This was a disc that somebody was giving away in Japan if you mailed something in. I don't really know the stipulations towards getting this disc but I do know its rare. I lets you fight against the RX-78-2, Guncannon, and Guntank at the same time. Why did I get this disc like 5 years after its release?? Because Side Story 0079 on the Dreamcast kicked serious butt!!
