Gunze Sangyo Hobby Color
Has anyone ever used Mr. Hobby "Hobby Color" to paint their Gunpla? I have used Tamiya acrylics in the past. I got this set of paints for my 1/100 Saviour. The guy at the local hobby shop told me that I did not need thinner on these paints. I don't believe him. Is that true? Can someone confirm this. Thanks
New Arrival - Mina Majikina
From a game that SNK ran to the ground, Samurai Spirits. I got this figure from the local hobby shop. It was kind of overpriced for the scale that it was but nonetheless the figure is beautiful and that's why I got it. It has nice details such as the metal string on her bow. On a side note, I will be starting a new job tommorrow so posts will not be as frequent but the site will not be abandoned. I will have massive updates during the weekend when I return home and all my goodies a waiting for me.
New Arrival - XBOX 360 Kasumi Faceplate
Today we have an item that has apparently gone rare instantaneously. Its a Dead or Alive Extreme 2 Kasumi faceplate. I had pre-ordered this faceplate ages ago and had completely forgotten about it until I got the e-mail that it had shipped. I paid $40 for it, it sounds high for a faceplate, but considering what its going for on Ebay the price isn't that bad. I don't know if any more are going to be released but as of writing every one is sold out.

Mobile Suit Gundam Crossfire
As a die hard Gundam fan, I will buy anything that has Gundam written on it. Its sad, but its true, I will buy all the good stuff and all the crap. Mobile Suit Gundam Crossfire falls into the crap division. When this game was announced I was more than excited, when I found out that it was a launch title that was the definitive moment when I had to buy a Playstation 3 to play Mobile Suit Gundam Crossfire. Unfortunately the game is a total waste of money, it doesn't live up to the Gundam video game standard that had been set lately by games such as Climax U.C. and Mobile Suit Gundam The One Year War.
There are so many problems with this game. For one, the framerate is horrible, when I mean horrible, I mean it runs at 15fps. This is a next gen system fot crying out loud!!!! Why are we having framerate issues with this game??? The controls are kind of bad too. You have to be looking in the direction of your enemy in order to lock on to them. In the midst of all the chaos you usually end up looking at the floor.
I don't care how much of a hardcore Gundam fan you really are. This game is completely useless, the only fun that you might get with it is from playing with the menu before you start a mission. You get to order mobile suits and request transfer of pilots, and you actually have to wait for the mobile suits and the pilots to arrive. It adds a sense of realism to the game but the game is still unplayable.
In the end, just don't buy this game and make Bandai richer. We give them our money and they give us mediocre games. Lets make them work for their money. This game is totally unplayable and no fun, and by any means, DO NOT use this game to showcase your brand new PS3

Playstation 3 System Impression
The system is finally home and the first thing that I have to say is that its beatiful. It totally looks like a $600 system. Its glossy and shiny like the PSP. It uses the same interface as the PSP also known as the cross media bar. Aside from that the system is also HUGE, its bigger than a XBOX 360, the only difference is that the PS3 is sexy. The buttons are heat sensitive, you just place your finger on it, no pressing, and the system goes on. You can also turn the system on with the controller. Unlike the XBOX 360, the controller seems to always be conected to the PS3. One tap on the "PS Button" and the system comes on. Overall the system is beatiful, i have yet to try it as a Blu-ray player. I am definetely pleased with the system as it doesn't feel cheap (since it wasn't). Hopefully we will start to see AAA tittles in the coming months as the launch line-up was pretty weak. Mobile Suit Gundam Crossfire was a launch tittle, I will update with impressions on the game later.
PS3 Mania has arrived in the USA
No updates since the 14th of November, WHY??? Simple, I was in line camping out in front of Circuit City since the 15th and I was #8 in line!!! This has been the longest that I have camped out for a video gaming system, a record 44 hours. It was a terrible camp too, on Thursday remnants of the storm that hit N.C. hit us and it was raining the entire day. Mall Security also prohibited us from using a tent so we had to make out own tents with tarps. Why would they allow a tarp but not a tent is beyond anyone’s reasoning but what could we do. People in front of us were pretty cool but people behind us were not.
On the afternoon of the 16th employees announced that only 11 consoles were available. I was #8, my brother #9, my brother in law #10, my sister #11, and two friends were numbers 12 and 13. As you can see we were 2 consoles short but we speculated that there were more so my two friends hung around. When employees came out at 7:00 am to hand out vouchers there were about 50 people in line. So they start handing out vouchers and what do you know? They had exactly 13!!! We were relieved but felt like we were going to get beat up for the vouchers but that luckily didn't happen.

Gundam Color Chart
One thing that i have noticed is that no matter how i search on Google for a translated Gundam color chart I cant find it. Since I started painting my kits i needed to figure out what the exact measurements of paint I would need to come up with the exact colors. It seems no one bothers to translate this for us builders who dont speak Japanese. I found out the exact transalations with a little help from a buddy of mines. Ill beposting color transaltions for the manuals that I have. Any special requests just post in the ecoment section. Hope this helps.

New Arrival
Finally the kits I had mostly anticipated for the month of October. The 1/100 Saviour, this kit is amazing they put alot of effort into it. Maybe it was because it was a transformable mobile suit. Unfortunately Bandai got greedy and they will not be including a stand with this one. Instead they are taking the stand that came with the 1st run of the Legend and selling it separately for about 550 JPY. I have the kits now and i will be building them as soon as possible, i also have 15 of these stands on pre-order. I want to make sure every Gunpla that I have can be posed .

New Arrival
It seems this is Revoltech week! Three Revoltech figures have arrived this week. The new additions to the family today are Revy from Black Lagoon and the "I have never heard of" EVA-04. To be honest I don't know who these characters are, Revy, I have never heard of her but she reminds me of Lara Croft. The EVA-04 looks badass and it looks more mechanical because of the silver color scheme plus ITS EVANGELION. Nevertheless, they look cool and are now part of my Revoltech collection. Next one up is the Revoltech Mazinkaiser that is coming in December.

New Arrival
Sorry for the lack of updates but i have been busy planning for the PS3 launch. Anayway today i got another Revoltech figure. This is the SDCC exclusive glow in the dark EVA-01. Apparently these were exclusive to the San Diego Comic Con but I have seen them everywhere, I saw a ton of them at Otakon 06. I got one from Ebay a couples of weeks ago but I went to my local hobby shop and saw this other one in damaged packaging, so they sold it to me for $10. I like to keep my figure in their boxes but since this was an extra I decided to play with it. Its the only Revoltech that I have openedso far and the one thing that I noticed is that posing them could be a little bit of a pain. Thats why this is the only pose that you'll see today. I'm to lazy to keep switching poses. Also in the dark the figure glow nicely.
