Mobile Suit Gundam Crossfire
As a die hard Gundam fan, I will buy anything that has Gundam written on it. Its sad, but its true, I will buy all the good stuff and all the crap. Mobile Suit Gundam Crossfire falls into the crap division. When this game was announced I was more than excited, when I found out that it was a launch title that was the definitive moment when I had to buy a Playstation 3 to play Mobile Suit Gundam Crossfire. Unfortunately the game is a total waste of money, it doesn't live up to the Gundam video game standard that had been set lately by games such as Climax U.C. and Mobile Suit Gundam The One Year War.
There are so many problems with this game. For one, the framerate is horrible, when I mean horrible, I mean it runs at 15fps. This is a next gen system fot crying out loud!!!! Why are we having framerate issues with this game??? The controls are kind of bad too. You have to be looking in the direction of your enemy in order to lock on to them. In the midst of all the chaos you usually end up looking at the floor.
I don't care how much of a hardcore Gundam fan you really are. This game is completely useless, the only fun that you might get with it is from playing with the menu before you start a mission. You get to order mobile suits and request transfer of pilots, and you actually have to wait for the mobile suits and the pilots to arrive. It adds a sense of realism to the game but the game is still unplayable.
In the end, just don't buy this game and make Bandai richer. We give them our money and they give us mediocre games. Lets make them work for their money. This game is totally unplayable and no fun, and by any means, DO NOT use this game to showcase your brand new PS3
